Barb's "JoyMakers" watercolour course is so aptly named; I believe I had a big smile on my face throughout every class! Barb strikes the perfect balance between guidance / structure, and free form play. I feel sure that her in-person classes would be wonderful but it is also worth noting that she is a pro at maximizing the opportunities provided by working in the virtual world, while still making us all feel connected and supported. I am truly a beginner, and it was pure delight to have the visual side of my brain awakened by Barb. Thank you!

(During COVID-19 I was lucky enough to participate from Ottawa, Canada, through well-organized Zoom classes). In her smart white lab coat, Barb Fyvie introduces a judgement-free style of teaching where "this class is science, not art - it's experimentation!" Best of all, Barb Fyvie's class/workshop works for art-seekers of all levels. It is fun to explore colour, shape and materials with her disciplined yet playful approach. Recommended!
